Tories pledge to overturn reforms

George Osborne put the City on warning on Wednesday that a Conservative government would overturn the government’s proposed financial regulation reform.

The shadow chancellor committed the Tories to abolishing the tripartite system, handing powers of supervision back to the Bank of England and replacing the Financial Services Authority with a consumer regulator.
