Recession fears fail to damp party mood at Davos

It has been difficult to find an optimist in Davos this week, or at least an optimist who dared to speak his or her name.

The World Economic Forum’s annual schmooze session for bankers, politicians and assorted famous people has coincided with a financial crisis and growing fears of a recession in the US and elsewhere.
